If I buy a Plan When Does My Extended Coverage Begin? When purchasing an extended service contract from us, your coverage begins after 30 days\/1000 miles of purchase date. For the new policy program, the extended service contract will expire towards the end of the duration or when the odometer reaches the total mileage selected. For example, a 5 year\/100, 000 mile plan would expire 5 years from the date you purchased the contract or when the odometer reaches 100, 000 miles. For the used car program, the mileage of the program selected is in addition to the current odometer mileage. For example, a 3 year\/36, 000 mile plan would expire 3 years from the date the service contract was purchased or when the automobile odometer reaches an additional 36, 000 miles. No vehicle examination are required, only an obligatory waiting period. No! You are expected to care for your automobile and provide on a regular basis scheduled maintenance on it, like, but not limited to: oil changes, engine tune-ups, brake pads, batteries and such.
